Before intermission Christine will perform a variety of styles of piano music from Classical to Caribbean. She is a member of the St. Mary's Schola, an early music ensemble in southern Maine. She is on the music faculty of the University of Maine at Augusta and Snow Pond Community Music School in Sidney, Maine, where she teaches piano, voice, and music theory. She is also the director of the Snow Pond Pantasticks Steel Drum band.
After intermission Bill Moseley's Puma jazz quartet will perform classics of modern jazz inspired by swing, bebop, Latin America, modern jazz of the 1960s, and renditions of 1960s pop. Puma features Christine Letcher on vocals, Bill Moseley on flute, Andy Moulton on guitar, David Briggs on bass, and Andy Schultz on percussion. All members have roots in the UMA jazz program.
